We are often asked by guests where are our favourite pubs for walks and a drink or for family and group meals out.
Here's a couple of our favourite pubs in the Peak District.
The Red Lion at Litton may be small but it is exactly what a traditional pub should be. Cosy rooms, log fires and lovely home cooked food. And located next to the pretty village green (and stocks!) it has to be on of our top places. Dogs are welcome in the front bar.
The Monsal Head Stable bar is ideal for lunch as part of a day out along the traffic free Monsal Trail. It is dog friendly, has spectacular views over the Monsal Viaduct and the home cooked food is delicious. In the winter there's a log fire and in the summer you can sit outside. They don't take bookings so get there early!
Some of our other favourite pubs in the Peak District include The Church Inn, Chelmorton, The Coach and Horses, Fenny Bentley, and for to die for food, The George at Alstonfield.
