Booking a holiday cottage should be exciting, so here are a few tips when it comes to booking a stay in a holiday cottage ...

  • Know who you're renting from - we don't use agencies, you book from us directly, so you always know your point of contact and can answer any queiries you might have withouth delay
  • Book ahead - if you want to get away in the high season, make sure you book well in advance so you're not disappointed
  • Ask questions - anyone who doesn't answer you clearly should be avoided
  • Decide if you want to self cater - or see if the self catering cottage has any connections with local food providers
  • Find out what the local amenities are before you leave home

We've been running holiday cottages for 8 years, and staying in them for even longer, so if you have any questions you can always get in touch with us!

    Lovely cottages

    Hi there.
Your cottages sound lovely, can you let me know if they have internet access? What about tv, do you have kiddie channels. Just thinking about my kids in the morning, I can sleep in a little if there is something for them to watch :)
Can you let me know what sort of things are in the area to do?

Hi Idit. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog pages. Both our cottages have internet access and at Valley View we have Sky films ideal for children. At Riverside House we have a number of kiddie channels plus a wide selection of child friendly DVDs for all ages. :) We also supply a range of board games at both the cottages and Riverside house has a games room too! There are plenty of things to do including visiting caves, market towns, farms, a tramway museum, plague village, Go Ape, historic houses such as Chatsworth (with its' own petting farm, adventure playground and maze) as well as horse riding, rock climbing and plenty of walking and cycling on traffic free trails. There is something for children of all ages.
