It is a family business with records dating back to 1939 and founded by Alan Ogden Snodin, who specialised in Arms and Armour trading from Dublin Ireland, Brampton, Matlock Green and Cromford Derbyshire. The man who runs it worked with his father up to the early 1970's, which gave him some knowledge of the antiques trade in which he discovered his loved of early oak furniture. When his father retired he set up his own business specialising in 17th cent English Oak furniture, carvings, metalware and pewter, trading from Matlock, Bakewell and now Ashbourne, Derbyshire.
