Are you looking to get creative while staying in the Peak District? The Art Room located in Barlow, Derbyshire – approximately 4 miles from the centre of Chesterfield, and 8 miles from Chatsworth House, is an artistic and creative hub where you can book into a range of activities. Some of the one day workshops include 'Jumpers and Jumble', 'Rag Rug techniques', 'Buttons, Bits and Bobs' and more. All one day workshops cost £30 and run from 10 am to 4 pm. Tea, coffee, biscuits and home made cake are included, but a packed lunch will be required. There are also exhibitions of sculptures, ceramics and textile art by three local artists and a chance to own affordable and original art. There is a disabled parking space and disabled toilets at the Art Room too.
